| A wise-guy Brooklyn-esque mouse and a not-so-clever house cat came together for a series of gag-filled chases which epitomizes animated mayhem at it's zenith. The Herman & Katnip cartoons were clearly the inspiration for many future animated characters, with one impossibly violent, seemingly painful gag after another. Not that Katnip didn't have it coming to him. Herman is usually just defending his mice nephews in such various venues as the circus, out west, or in a department store - using the appropriate props to fend off the feline! |
